Family Work Day
Saturday, September 23, 2017
9:30am - 12:30pm
Rain Date: Saturday, September 30th
Every fall, we start the year by grabbing wheelbarrows, paint brushes, rakes, shovels, and gardening gloves for this NCRC community tradition!
Family Work Day is a great way to spruce up the school as you weed, mulch, plant, paint, and more. It's also a great way to meet other parents, children, grandparents, faculty, and staff!
Novices, as well as volunteers with special skills, like landscaping and carpentry, are all needed. Childcare is available, light refreshments are served, and grandparents are invited to join us on the porch!

Suggestions on What to Wear & Bring
- Wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty! Whatever you choose to wear, if stains on an item are going to put a damper on your day, save it for another occasion.
- Gardening Gloves. Parents appreciate them for the utility, and kids appreciate them because it makes the morning more "official."
- Wheelbarrows. If you have a wheelbarrow that you're able to transport to and from the playground that day, please let us know!
Please remember to label everything and anything you choose to bring from home. There are lots of tools and gardening items on the playground that day, so items can be easily misplaced.
