A Letter from the Head of School

Dear Families,

Welcome to NCRC! We are delighted to introduce you to our vibrant learning community, our child-centered, research-informed program, and the unique ways in which we honor and celebrate young learners and their families. Early childhood is a foundational time in a child’s life and a meaningful season for families, and at NCRC, we partner with families to nurture children’s growth, curiosity, and joy in learning during these formative years.

Our exceptional faculty and staff bring extensive expertise in child development and a genuine commitment to every child and family. In our play-based, emergent curriculum, children explore, build relationships, and become confident learners, ready for their next step—kindergarten.

NCRC is often described as a family—and it doesn't take long to understand why. Children and adults are known, welcomed, and valued here. Through intentional relationships and a culture of inclusion, we create a community where every child and family feels a genuine sense of belonging.

As NCRC approaches its centennial, we are grateful for the generations of children, families, and educators who have shaped our community and established a tradition of excellence in early childhood education. It is an honor to serve this remarkable community as we steward its rich legacy and build on the many strengths that make NCRC such a special place for generations to come.

I hope you'll visit us to experience our community firsthand. I look forward to welcoming you and getting to know your family.

Warm regards,

Leah Musico
