The partnership with families & the NCRC Outplacement Team begins in June after the Preschool year and carries through your child’s Pre-K year. We partner to find right fit schools for your child.

June Before Pre-K Year| Beginning of Outplacement Conversation
Meet with the NCRC Outplacement Team to begin the conversation and receive an overview of the application process and learn about the support NCRC will offer throughout your Pre-K year. 

August-September| Identify List of Prospective Schools and Register for Tours
Meet with the Outplacement Team to talk about your child and identify a list of schools to visit. Tour schools and attended Open Houses. 

September-November| NCRC Hosts Information Sessions
NCRC hosts virtual information sessions and coffees with a myriad of area independent schools. These intimate conversations offer NCRC families an opportunity to meet with different admissions teams and learn the school landscape. 

October-December| Admissions Playdates
Once you have submitted your applications, you will schedule and attend admissions playdates.

December-January| Application Deadlines
Complete applications. The Outplacement Team oversees the submission of transcripts and teacher recommendations.  

January-February| NCRC Advocates for Your Child 
One applications have been submitted, NCRC visits each school to which students have applied and advocates for your child.

February-March| Admissions Decisions Posted
Once decisions have been posted, the Outplacement Team continues to meet with families as they navigate their choices.
