Alumni Families

NCRC is turning 100 in 2028!

We're excited to celebrate NCRC's first 100 years and launch our next century of early childhood learning. Washington Child Research Center began as a three-year grant program to study child learning and parent education in 1928 — incredibly innovative at that time! The study of children, their behaviors, and how they learn was cutting edge, and it set the precedent for today's continued research-driven, emergent classroom approach.

We are seeking alumni student, family, and teacher stories! Do you remember...

The vegetable garden? NCRC Pets? Cued Speech and the Inclusion Program? Father's Day playdates? The 50th Anniversary outdoor playground opening? The Engine Program? And so much more!

If you have photographs, stories, newspaper clippings, or anything about NCRC to share, please contact Kate Gelatt, Director of Advancement, at kgelatt@ncrcpreschool.org or call 202.363.8777 ext. 228.

We look forward to celebrating the Centennial in 2028!
