Summer at NCRC Employment

Rooted in the school's mission and philosophy, Summer at NCRC is a play-based, developmentally appropriate learning experience for children ages 2–5. Grouped by age with half- and full-day offerings, each program encourages children to learn, explore, and play while building friendships, forging independence, cultivating confidence, investigating new ideas, and having a tremendous amount of fun.

Summer at NCRC Teachers

Thank you for your interest in working as a SUMMER AT NCRC TEACHER! We are currently accepting teacher applications for our 2026 program. Upon receipt of materials, qualified candidates will be invited to set up an interview.

INTERESTED CANDIDATES:

Please complete and send the Summer at NCRC Employment Application along with a letter of interest and your resume to Patrick Douville, Director of Auxiliary Programs at pdouville@ncrcpreschool.org. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

All candidates must be at least 21 years old.
All candidates must be fully vaccinated.
All candidates must have a minimum of a CDA (more information below)
All candidates must have experience working with young children.
Preference will be given to candidates available for the full 7-week summer program; candidates are required to work at least 4 weeks.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Successful completion of a CDA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Graduate Degree in ECE or Elementary Education.
Prior experience working for Summer at NCRC or other D.C.-area summer camps for young children.
Preference will be given to former NCRC Summer Camp Teachers and Counselors, as well as applicants who are currently enrolled in (or have been accepted to) an education-centered bachelor's or master's program.
