Summer at NCRC Employment

Rooted in the school's mission and philosophy, Summer at NCRC is a play-based, developmentally appropriate learning experience for children ages 2–5. Grouped by age with half- and full-day offerings, each program encourages children to learn, explore, and play while building friendships, forging independence, cultivating confidence, investigating new ideas, and having a tremendous amount of fun.

Opportunities: 2025 Program

Assistant Director, Summer at NCRC

Thank you for your interest in the ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, SUMMER AT NCRC, position. We are currently accepting applications for our 2025 program. Upon receipt of materials, qualified candidates will be invited to set up an interview.

INTERESTED CANDIDATES:

Please send a letter of interest and your resume to Patrick Douville, Director of Auxiliary Programs, via email at pdouville@ncrcpreschool.org. Please include "Assistant Director, Summer" in the subject line.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

All candidates must be fully vaccinated.
All candidates must be willing to work for 6 weeks during the summer.
All candidates must have experience working with young children.
Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully completed a Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in ECE or Elementary Education.

Summer at NCRC Teachers

Thank you for your interest in working as a SUMMER AT NCRC TEACHER! We are currently accepting teacher applications for our 2025 program. Upon receipt of materials, qualified candidates will be invited to set up an interview.

summer TEACHER APPLICATION

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
All candidates must be fully vaccinated.
All candidates must have experience working with young children.
Preference will be given to candidates available for the full 6-week summer program; candidates are required to work at least 4 weeks.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Successful completion of a CDA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Graduate Degree in ECE or Elementary Education.
Prior experience working for Summer at NCRC or other D.C.-area summer camps for young children.
Preference will be given to former NCRC Summer Camp Teachers and Counselors, as well as applicants who are currently enrolled in (or have been accepted to) an education-centered bachelor's or master's program.

Summer at NCRC Counselors

Thank you for your interest in working as a SUMMER AT NCRC COUNSELOR! We are currently accepting applications for our 2025 program. Upon receipt of materials, qualified candidates will be invited to set up an interview in April 2025. We encourage former NCRC students or campers to apply!

summer counselor APPLICATION

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

All candidates must be fully vaccinated.
All candidates must have experience working with young children.
Preference will be given to candidates available for the full 6-week summer program; candidates are required to work at least 4 weeks.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Successful completion of a Counselor Intern or Counselor Apprentice program.
